Level: Intermediate / Advanced
 

COURSE DETAILS:

We are looking for 8-10 female dancers of Higher Intermediate to Advanced level with experience of dancing cross-body Salsa on 1.

 

A Salsa Ladies Styling course is a great opportunity to take it a step further and focus on a challenging choreography that will highlight all the elements that make the ladies shine on the dance floor.

COMMITTMENT:

The course will take place over 12 sessions after which you wil need to be available for about 8 weeks of performances. The team will be training on Wednesdays at Paddington Academy mirrored dance studios. Regular attendance of the training and rehearsal sessions, as well as the subsequent attendance of the pre-planned shows is imperative for your progress and ability to perform.

PERFORMANCES:

Students will have an opportunity to perform at various UK and international Salsa events and congresses. Performances will take place for about 8 weeks after the completion of training, please plan your availability accordingly to make sure you can attend the planned performances - this is essential as shows are pre-planned and pre-advertised by promoters.

After embarking on two 12 week performance courses with extremely talented teachers I am no less than addicted to their style, drive and passion for Dance. I've been taking classes in Caramelo for about a year and a half and I love it!! The teachers are super fun and friendly, the content of the classes is always changing so you can do classes over and over again without ever getting bored! There is an amazing choice of levels of difficulty/styles of latin dances I made many many good friends with whom I often go out for salsa parties, but also for "normal" nights out. More recently I was involved in the performance course and I just loved it!! Quite a lot of hard work that's true, but it's just so rewarding and fun to be able to perform in the end in front of crowds, both in London & internationally, we felt like superstars!! We travelled all together to Croatia to perform, and it was probably one of the best holidays of my life: a bit of sightseeing, trekking in the nature, lazy time on the beach, rehearsing, dancing parties, dance workshops, restaurants... :D Would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn salsa, whatever the levels, in a friendly and fun atmosphere!!     - Vinh Chuc
